The second leg of the Kouga Express EP Open Water Swim Series took place at Marina Martinique on Sunday.
20 swimmers from the Club took part in the various swims which shows the progress the Club is making in introducing it’s swimmers to the new and exciting sport of open water swimming.

Perfect conditions awaited swimmers who took part in the EP Open Water Swim Series at Marina Martinique. The next swim is on 23 December
It was our older swimmers who had some excellent races on Sunday with Jane Geldenhuys, the new addition to the Masters squad taking the O/50 division in the 1 K swim. Jane is still going strong at 82 and is determined to spend more time training in preparation for the Marina Martinique Mile on 23 December.

Our coach, Brenton entered the 3 K and after being the first master swimmer home, decided to continue and finish the gruelling 5 K swim. He also swam a SA national qualifying time in the 3 K swim.
Most of our swimmers entered the 1 K swim and well done to Malan Steenkamp who had a very good swim. Nikita Meyer, Danielle Van Os, Yvonne Rautenbach and Kim Seyfert all completed their first ever 1 K swims. Well done!!
